Probate and Estate Administration

Probate (where there is a will) and Administration (usually where there is no will) together referred to as “Letters of Administration” is the process whereby the court grants authority to someone to deal with the deceased’s property and assets including where applicable their bank accounts, house and other possessions and is usually required if the deceased has assets exceeding £10,000 in any one bank account.
